Welcome to TV Remote (the "App"), developed by Caesium Studios. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App does — and, more importantly, does not — collect when you use it.
TV Remote lets you control an Android TV or Roku device over your home Wi-Fi network, in place of a physical remote. The App:

We collect nothing. TV Remote has no backend server, no analytics pipeline, and no advertising network integrated into it. We — the developer — never receive any information about you, your device, or your TV. There is no data for us to lose, share, or misuse, because none is ever sent to us.
The App does store a small amount of information locally on your phone or tablet, purely so it can remember your setup between sessions. None of this ever leaves your device:

This information is used exclusively by the App on your device to talk to your TV. It is never transmitted to us, sold, or shared with any third party.
To find and control your TV, the App communicates directly with devices on your local Wi-Fi network:
In all cases, this traffic stays within your home network, between your phone and your TV. It never passes through, or is visible to, us or any server we operate.
TV Remote does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or data-collection SDKs. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, ad networks, or similar services. The only "third parties" the App talks to are your own Android TV or Roku device, over your own network.
The App may request network-related permissions (such as local network access) solely to discover and communicate with your TV. These permissions are used only for that purpose and are never used to collect or transmit personal data.
Communication with Android TV devices uses TLS encryption as part of Google's official Android TV Remote protocol. Because all locally-stored data (paired TV info, pairing certificates) stays on your device and is never transmitted to us, its security depends on your own device's security (e.g. screen lock, device encryption) rather than on any server infrastructure of ours — since none exists.
TV Remote is a general-audience utility app that does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since no data is ever collected or transmitted, there is no personal information belonging to any user — child or adult — for us to hold.
Because we never receive or store any of your data on our end, there is no "request deletion" process to go through with us — we simply have nothing to delete. To remove the locally-stored information described in Section 4:
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the App adds a new feature that involves data collection — we will update this page and revise the "Last Updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
