We're sorry to see you go. You have the right to delete your MoonPair account at any time. This page explains how to delete your account, what data is removed, what data is retained, and how to reach us if you need help.

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your MoonPair account directly from within the app. The process takes less than a minute.

Steps to Delete In-App

Open the MoonPair app and log in to your account.

Tap your profile icon in the top corner to go to your profile.

Tap Settings (gear icon).

Scroll down and tap "Account".

Tap "Delete Account" and follow the on-screen confirmation prompts.

Your account deletion will be confirmed via email within a few minutes.

If you are unable to access your account to delete it, you can submit a deletion request by emailing us directly:

2. What Happens When You Delete

When you confirm deletion of your MoonPair account:

This action is permanent. After the grace period, deleted account data cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have saved anything you wish to keep before proceeding.

Certain data may be retained after deletion as required by law or for legitimate safety purposes:

All retained data is stored securely, access is strictly limited, and it is never used for marketing or sold to third parties.

5. Pause Instead of Delete

Not ready to leave permanently? MoonPair offers a Pause feature that lets you take a break without losing your matches or data:

To pause your account, go to Settings → Account → Pause Account.

6. Reactivation & Grace Period

After requesting deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this time:

Changed your mind? Log back in within 30 days of requesting deletion to cancel the process and restore your account fully.

Before deleting your account, you have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. To do so:
