Our Vision: MoonPair is a space built on respect, honesty, and genuine connection. These guidelines exist to protect every member of our community and ensure that MoonPair remains a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable place to find meaningful relationships.
Welcome to MoonPair. By using our app, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines. They apply to all content you post, messages you send, and interactions you have on our platform.
1. Our Community Values
MoonPair is founded on four core values that every member of our community is expected to uphold:
- 💜 Respect — Treat everyone as you would wish to be treated, regardless of their background, identity, or appearance.
- ✨ Authenticity — Be genuinely yourself. Honest connections begin with honest profiles.
- 🛡️ Safety — Look out for yourself and others. Report anything that feels wrong.
- 🌙 Inclusivity — MoonPair welcomes people of all genders, orientations, ethnicities, and backgrounds.
2. Authentic Profiles
Your profile is your introduction to the MoonPair community. We require all profiles to be honest and genuine.
2.1 You Must
- Use your real name or a name you genuinely go by
- Upload photos that accurately represent your current appearance
- Provide an accurate date of birth (you must be 18+)
- Represent your relationship intentions honestly
2.2 You Must Not
- Use photos of someone else or heavily misleading images
- Impersonate another person, celebrity, or public figure
- Create multiple accounts or fake profiles
- Misrepresent your age, location, or identity in a deceptive way
- Use AI-generated profile photos intended to deceive
Tip: Use MoonPair's photo verification feature to build trust with potential matches. Verified profiles receive higher visibility in the app.
3. Respectful Interactions
Every conversation on MoonPair should feel safe and comfortable for both parties.
- Engage with kindness and openness — rejection is a normal part of dating; handle it gracefully
- Respect boundaries immediately if someone asks you to stop messaging them
- Do not pressure, guilt, or manipulate matches into meeting, sharing photos, or doing anything they're uncomfortable with
- Take "no" for an answer — persistent unwanted contact is harassment
- Keep conversations respectful even if things don't work out
4. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited on MoonPair in profiles, photos, bios, and messages:

| Violence & Threats | Threats of harm, violent imagery, or content glorifying violence |
| Child Exploitation | Any content involving or sexualizing minors — see our Child Safety Policy |
| Spam & Promotions | Unsolicited advertisements, links, or promotional content |
| Illegal Content | Content promoting or facilitating illegal activities |
| Self-Harm | Content promoting, glorifying, or instructing self-harm or suicide |
5. Personal Safety
Your safety matters to us. Here are guidelines for staying safe while using MoonPair:
5.1 Online Safety
- Never share your full name, home address, workplace, or financial information with a new match
- Be cautious of anyone who asks for money, gift cards, or financial help — this is a common scam tactic
- Do not share passwords or personal identification documents with anyone on the app
- Trust your instincts — if something feels off, it probably is
5.2 Meeting in Person
- Always meet for the first time in a public place
- Let a trusted friend or family member know where you're going and who you're meeting
- Arrange your own transportation to and from your first date
- Do not feel pressured to meet anyone before you feel ready
Stay Safe: MoonPair staff will never ask for your password, payment information, or personal documents via in-app chat or email. If someone claims to be MoonPair staff and asks for this, report them immediately.
6. Protection of Minors
Zero Tolerance: MoonPair is strictly 18+. Any account found to belong to a minor, or any adult attempting to contact or exploit a minor, will be permanently banned and reported to law enforcement.

7. Harassment & Hate Speech
MoonPair does not tolerate harassment in any form. This includes:
- Sending repeated unwanted messages after being asked to stop
- Sending threatening, intimidating, or abusive messages
- Sharing or threatening to share someone's private photos without consent (non-consensual image sharing)
- Making derogatory comments about someone's appearance, race, gender, orientation, religion, or disability
- Coordinating with others to target or abuse a specific user
- Outing someone's sexual orientation or gender identity without their consent
8. Scams & Deceptive Behaviour
Romance scams and deceptive behaviour destroy trust and cause real harm. The following are prohibited:
- Creating fake profiles or using stolen photos to deceive users (catfishing)
- Soliciting money, gifts, or financial assistance from matches
- Directing users to external websites for fraudulent purposes
- Misrepresenting your identity, location, or intentions to exploit others emotionally or financially
- Operating bot accounts or using automation to send messages
Red Flag: If a match asks for money or sends you links to external payment apps very early in conversation, please report the account immediately. These are common romance scam warning signs.
9. Reporting & Moderation
9.1 How to Report
- Tap the report icon on any profile, message, or photo
- Select the most appropriate reason for your report
- Add additional details to help our moderation team
- You may also block the user to prevent further contact while your report is reviewed
9.2 What Happens After You Report
- Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 24–72 hours
- Child safety and violence reports are escalated immediately
- You will receive a notification once action has been taken
- Reporter identity is kept confidential
9.3 Blocking
- You can block any user at any time from their profile
- Blocked users cannot see your profile, send you messages, or appear in your matches
- Blocking is immediate and does not notify the blocked user
10. Consequences of Violations
Depending on the severity and frequency of a violation, the following actions may be taken:

11. Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended or banned in error, you may appeal the decision:
- Email studios.caesium@gmail.com with subject "Account Appeal"
- Include your registered email address and a clear explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect
- Appeals will be reviewed within 7 business days
- Decisions on appeals involving child safety violations are final and non-reversible
